Just so you know that we are not just a self-promoting site, but a non-biased resource of information, we want to draw your attention to a very helpful resource for anyone who has plans to build a garage.
The site is Metal Building Guide.com and they have a 13 page builder’s guide for constructing a garage. The guide is rather succinct, but has all the basics of the process. However, it does not have any pictures, diagrams, etc… , so it cannot really be relied upon for actual instructions for the building process. Instead, it serves more an educational purpose, to give a novice builder an idea of what to expect. For that purpose, it succeeds. With the educational purpose in mind, perhaps the lack of pictures and diagrams is actually an asset as the reader can quickly read through the guide to gain an overview and thus know what steps to take next. I would make one suggestion: If the guide is indeed to merely be an informational tool, then it would be helpful to have links or phone numbers to reputable suppliers and/or providers of the various parts and services that are needed in the building process (e.g., who to buy concrete from for the foundation, who to buy the steel building kit from, etc…).
Click here to see the guide for constructing garage buildings. Keep in mind that, according to the site, more pages on the guide are forthcoming.
Thanks,
SBH
